She was the throne on which the Pharaoh sat.
Isis taught women to grind corn, spin flax, weave cloth and tame men sufficiently to live with them.
Isis's devotion to her beloved Osiris led her to search for and rescue him from death on two occasions, restoring him to life by waving her magical wings.
When their evil brother Seth chopped him into pieces, she reassembled him, replacing his missing phallus with a golden one of her own creation with which she conceived their child Horus.
Isis's commitment to Osiris and his restoration may be seen as a `soul-mate' search supreme – highlighting feminine use of the powers of single-mindedness, love and mysticism.
